Country Marketing is now in a position to produce EAN-13 barcode images for retail products. If you have been supplied with EAN-13 barcode numbers and need the converting to barcode images for labels and packaging, send us the numbers and we will convert them, sending you back an EPS file for inclusion in your packaging design. The image will be sent to you at the recommended standard size of 37.6mm wide x 26.1mm high. In some cases the image can be reduced to no less than 80% of this size and enlarged to 200% of its size. The proportion of width to height must stay static. In order to obtain valid barcode numbers you should register with GS1 in the UK (or elsewhere in the world) who adhere to strict, global standards, issuing unique numbers. Once you are licensed we can produce the images for each number you are given. Without obtaining a licence you may find barcodes are invalid and are rejected at the retail stage. Please contact us if you would like to use this barcode creation service. Our rates are typically £10 per EPS image produced (this can be negotiated in the event of volume numbers). Remember, we can only produce the popular retail EAN-13 barcodes. We are unable to help with other formats such as EAN-8, UPC, ITF or GS1 exist. Call us on 0845 463 0483. ABOUT GS1 GS1 UK has driven innovation in the supply chain for over thirty years. Using a common set of identification keys, and GS1’s four product areas - bar codes, EPCglobal (RFID), Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) and electronic business messaging – the GS1 System is the foundation for a range of supply chain solutions that make it faster, safer and cheaper for GS1 members to serve their customers.
